Being busy woman we often tend to put everyone else before us leaving self care on the back burner. Over the past few years after becoming a mother I have learned (after many many burnouts) to constantly remind myself I need to take care of myself that I MUST take care of myself in order to take care of others.
Everyone deserves a little pampering on the regular and no that does not mean you need hundreds of dollars spent on a super lavish spa day. I love finding ways to do things from the comfort of my cozy home. So I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite at home self care activities for anyone in need of a little me time. I hope you enjoy and truly get some much needed self care added into your daily routine.
- Aromatherapy
- I am huge on using essential oils for anything over any medicine & supplements! Just the smell of something like lavender or ylang yang can instantly relax your mind and body. Or say you’re looking for a pick me up, lemon or anything citrus can instantly provide you an uplifting zing of energy.
- Journal
- Write down your thought
- Write down 5 things you are grateful for
- Write down 10 things you want to accomplish
- Meditate
- Drink a cup of tea
- There are soooo many incredible types of teas filled with incredibly beneficial herbs & spices. If you are someone who doesn’t like or want to consume caffeine don’t worry there are many caffeine free teas! Here are some of my favorites!
- Exfoliate & hydrate your skin
- Read a new book
- If reading is something you already do regularly, try reading something for a different genre to add some spice to your intake
